For example, in the construction of general industrial factory buildings, components like roof trusses and beams and columns made of Q235 steel plates can bear the weight of the roof and equipment, ensuring the stability of the factory building structure.
Good Toughness: Q235 steel plates have relatively good toughness and are not prone to brittle fracture when subjected to impacts or vibrations. Their impact toughness values (at room temperature) are relatively high, which enables them to play a role in structures that need to bear dynamic loads, such as automobile frames and crane booms. During the driving process of vehicles, the frames may be subjected to various impacts from road bumps and so on. Q235 steel plates can effectively absorb and disperse these energies, reducing the risk of fracture.
In Terms of Machining Properties
Easy to Cut: Q235 steel plates can be processed by multiple cutting methods, such as flame cutting, plasma cutting, and mechanical cutting. Flame cutting utilizes the high temperature generated by the oxygen-acetylene flame to melt and cut the steel plates. This method is applicable to relatively thick Q235 steel plates, and the cutting speed is relatively fast. Plasma cutting melts metals through the high temperature of the plasma arc, with higher cutting precision and the ability to cut out parts with complex shapes. Mechanical cutting (such as cutting with a shearing machine) is suitable for thinner steel plates, and the edges after cutting are relatively flat. These cutting methods enable Q235 steel plates to be conveniently blanked and processed according to different design requirements.
