Design Description:
This design is a Celestial Church featuring a prominent Galaxy (a mezzanine gallery with celestial themes) occupying half the building’s floor area. The layout respects all specified doors, staircases, and altar access. 1. Overall Dimensions & Shape Rectangular footprint (e.g., 30 m long 20 m wide) – total area = 600 m². Galaxy area = 300 m² (exactly half the building). Main hall (nave) runs from front (west) to rear (east). Altar is at the east end. 2. Doors (Exactly Four) DoorLocationPurpose A – Main EntranceCenter of front (west) facade, large double door (3 m wide)Primary public entry B – Altar AccessRight (south) wall, near the east end (close to altar area)Direct exterior access for clergy / liturgical processions C – Left Middle DoorLeft (north) wall, at mid‑length (15 m from front)Secondary entry/exit D – Right Middle DoorRight (south) wall, at mid‑length (15 m from front)Secondary entry/exit All side doors are 1.2 m wide, except main entrance 3 m wide. 3. The Galaxy (Half‑Size Mezzanine) Definition: A raised gallery on the rear (eastern) half of the building, covering exactly 50% of the total floor area. Position: From the mid‑point (15 m from front) to the back wall (east end). Height: The Galaxy floor is 3 m above the main hall floor. The ceiling above the Galaxy is at 6 m, while the front half of the hall has a double‑height space (6 m clear) for a grand celestial atmosphere. Celestial theme: The Galaxy is enclosed with curved, star‑lit panels, a central “nebula” light installation, and a dark blue/black floor with embedded fiber‑optic stars. From below, the Galaxy’s soffit displays a rotating projection of a spiral galaxy. 4. Two Staircases to Access the Galaxy Both staircases are located inside the main hall, one on each side, leading up to the Galaxy level. Left Staircase – Against the north wall, starting near the left middle door, ascending to the north side of the Galaxy. Right Staircase – Against the south wall, starting near the right middle door, ascending to the south side of the Galaxy. Design: Each staircase is 1.5 m wide, with celestial railings (metal rings / star motifs). A small landing at the top opens directly onto the Galaxy gallery. 5. Altar Area & Right Side Door (Door B) The altar is raised on a platform at the east end. Door B (right side, near altar) opens into a short corridor that leads directly to the sacristy / preparation room, which has a door into the altar platform. This allows private access without crossing the main hall. Summary of Requirements Met Galaxy = exactly half the building’s size (rear half mezzanine) Four doors – main front, right altar‑access, left middle, right middle Right side door gives access to the altar area Two staircases – left and right in the main hall – leading to the Galaxy 8. Suggested Construction Notes Use steel frame for the Galaxy mezzanine to minimise columns. The underside of the Galaxy should be finished as a “starry sky” (dark paint + LED pinholes) visible from the main hall. Staircases must comply with fire codes: enclosed or with smoke vents, handrails. Door B (altar access) should be lockable and sized for processional use (1.5 m wide).
