we got the land already ,we need a simple house design . Concept: Eco-Tropical Residence & Autonomous Studio Location: Wooded Area, Makak, Cameroon Total Footprint: 198 m² (Target < 200 m²) 1. PROJECT SPIRIT "Villa MMC" is designed for a family. The project eliminates the superfluous (no guardhouse, no unnecessary corridors) to prioritize space and light. The use of stabilized earth bricks (SEB) and aluminum (wood-style) or local wood (where possible) joinery anchors the house in its environment. On a sloping site, the villa appears to float in the canopy, ideally thanks to a system of stilts, offering an uninterrupted panoramic view. The garden is no longer a boundary, but an extension of the living space, protected by a discreet hedge. 2. GENERAL LAYOUT AND PROJECTED AREA SCHEME Living Room + Open-Plan Kitchen;48sqm Terrace(35sqm) : Open loft, island, large windows. Master Suite (Bedroom + Bathroom)about 18.5 sqm :Living space suspended on the slope(Suite with panoramic views) Bedroom 2 (15sqm) Integrate private bathroom (3sqm) or separate Bedroom 3 (15sqm ) :Family room or office. Circulation & Internal Storage (10sqm) :Optimized flow, storage near the island. Entrance Terrace( 4.5sqm ) :Shaded entrance threshold. ANNEX Self-contained Studio (Bedroom + Bathroom) + Single Bedroom (18sqm): Independent accommodation for guests and staff room. (Studio & Services) External Kitchen (11sqm): Heavy-duty cooking (gas/charcoal), separate. Store/Utility Room( 8sqm ) :Storage. Small Studio Terrace (6sqm): Privacy for the self-contained living area. External Toilet/Service (3.1sqm): For staff and garden use. EXTERIOR Barbecue Plaza we use Paved,Local stone(6sqm) :adjoining the outdoor kitchen. 3. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND MATERIALS • Walls: Exposed stabilized earth bricks (BTS) on the upper walls, excluding the posts. Natural thermal inertia (cool during the day, warm at night). • Floors: Polished concrete (basalt appearance) on the interior; quarry stone on the exterior. • Site plan: Foundations to be determined, but to avoid moisture and manage the slope, a system of stilts will be used downstream to respect the natural slope and avoid heavy earthworks. 4. LANDSCAPING AND SECURITY OF THE LARGE GARDEN • Concept: "Forest Garden". No massive boundary walls. • The Half-Barrier: A 1.20 m high living hedge (Bamboo or Dracaena), backed by a light, invisible wire mesh for security. • The Barbecue: Strategically located next to the outdoor kitchen, halfway between the villa and the studio, on a paved plaza to prevent any fire risk from burning wood. • Vegetation: Preservation of mature trees, creation of a walking path, and installation of solar-powered LED ground lighting.
