Fortitude Consult Ltd is a building and construction consulting firm specializing in Architecture and Building services, Civil and structural Engineering, Project planning and management. The firm has collaborations with other firms and individuals on specific projects in order to achieve excellent results. The firm offers an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to construction consultancy.

Good design pushes the envelope of form and function; it seeks aesthetics and livability. Good design is cognizant and respectful of its surroundings.

Each project is a unique moment to forge something that has never been done before. No two projects are the same. Each project presents its own challenges and opportunities. No two sites are the same. Each landscape seeks a design specific to its characteristics. No two clients are the same. We know that each project must be shaped by the individual needs of the eventual inhabitants.

The firm was formed in 2021. Our specialty is majorly in architecture and engineering and we aim at a participatory approach to design. We ensure our clients’ involvement in project development. ... Therefore, engaging the client and future users in the project development and design process which is a way of adding different perspectives to our vision towards more intelligent architecture.

Fortitude Consult recognizes the competitive nature of the consulting profession and consequently, continues to strive towards excellence in the delivery of its services. It is upon this background that one of the firm’s philosophies is to use very qualified and experienced individuals. The firm has also embarked on the effective application of relevant technology in communication, presentation and all aspects of service delivery with 3D printing and VR and augmentation. Each professional employed undergoes periodic professional development courses especially in the ever-changing field of appropriate technology

Fortitude Consult’s clients include Government of Uganda (GoU), Total Energies, CNOOC, School for Life Australia, Insieme Si Puo`, The Sonia Nabeta Foundation, Something Deeper Ministries, Churches, NGOs and the private sector. The company has the capability and experience to work in any of the regions within East Africa and in Africa in general.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The company provides consultancy services in Project Management, Design and supervision of civil/ structural engineering works, Design and supervision of water supplies and distribution systems, architectural designs, Environmental studies, Capacity Building, Policy and Institutional development, Community mobilization and Development of Management Information Systems

Project Management and Supervision

Fortitude has developed skills and gained experience in organizing work from inception to project handover.

Recently Fortitude Consulting as construction advisory provided technical support for Design and construction monitoring of resettlement housing for the Oil and Gas’ Tilenga Social & resettlement services for contract Area 1 & licensed area 2 (north) development Project on RAP2-5 in Buliisa, Hoima and Kikuube Districts.

Fortitude staff provide technical assistance to other organizations and clientele to achieve a diligent and systematic contracting process in implementation of all projects to ensure that adequate contract documents are prepared and used. The works are closely supervised to acceptable engineering standards and also to ensure timely certification and payment of works done. On these projects we are also responsible to ensure that good environmental management practices are adhered to during the implementation.

Our staff also have notably worked with clients and construction contractors to provide support documentations during tendering and construction drawings/ as-built drawings, project work schedules and valuation claims

We have gained a lot of experience mostly as lead Consultants on a number of architectural projects and have directly worked with the Uganda Government, NGOs and a number of private clients.
