I'm Afework Kefyalew, an architect from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I graduated from Bahir Dar University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Since then, I have been actively involved in the field, working on diverse design projects across different categories. These projects include hospitals, residential buildings, churches, mixed-use structures, and more.
In addition to my professional work, I co-founded a design firm called Hohit Architects and Engineers in 2018, where I collaborated with talented professionals to create innovative and sustainable designs. I also gained valuable experience as a principal architect at Boldmark Real Estate from 2019 to 2022, contributing to the design and development of notable projects in the real estate sector.
Furthermore, I have worked as a site architect in RAMA Construction, where I was involved in the construction of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia building in Bahir Dar. This experience allowed me to gain practical knowledge of construction processes and collaborate closely with contractors and stakeholders.
Apart from my project-based work, I have actively participated in the development of the structural plan for Bahir Dar city. As an architect, I contributed to the planning and design process, ensuring the sustainable and cohesive development of the city's infrastructure and buildings.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous learning and professional development. Attending workshops, conferences, and seminars has allowed me to stay updated with the latest architectural trends and advancements.
