FDG, is an AEC interdisciplinary, research-based architecture and design firm established
in 2010
FDG, founded in 2005 by Ian Balmes and a co-founder Emman Ferry, is recognized for the
design of residential, commercials, hotels, resorts, landscape, private buildings and urban
spaces. Libraries, schools, university buildings, museums, theaters and master planning have
formed the core of the work. Founded on the belief that design has the power to transform
lives and enhance communities, we collaborate with clients all over the world to create
healthy, sustainable places in which to live, learn, work, play, and heal. Hundreds of
professionals across over FDG network offices include some of the brightest minds in
