I am Jonathan Tshisuabantu, a qualified architect from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with professional experience in architectural design, interior architecture, technical documentation, and construction site supervision. My professional journey has involved working on projects in Kinshasa, Kongo Central, Kolwezi, Lubumbashi, and surrounding areas, all in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as developing projects independently.
My Design Philosophy
My design philosophy is based on the balance between functionality, aesthetics, creativity, and the client's needs. To me, architecture is not only about designing beautiful spaces, but also about creating practical, comfortable, sustainable environments that meet the needs of their users. Every project is an opportunity to transform an idea into a coherent architectural solution while considering the site context, budget, technical constraints, and the client's objectives.
My Professional Skills
My skills cover architectural design, space planning, interior architecture, 2D architectural drafting, 3D modeling, faade design, sections and elevations, as well as the preparation of technical documentation. I am also interested in space optimization, site analysis, urban planning, and coordination among the various professionals involved in a construction project. My approach is to combine creative ideas with functional and technical requirements to deliver realistic, harmonious solutions tailored to each project.
My Project Experience
My professional experience includes contributing to architectural projects, from concept development to the production of architectural drawings and technical documents. I have also gained experience coordinating with engineers and other construction professionals, as well as following up on construction activities on site. Alongside my architectural practice, I work independently on projects and share my knowledge through university-level teaching in architecture and urban planning. This combination of experience allows me to approach projects with creativity, methodology, analytical thinking, and a sound understanding of the realities of the construction industry.
My Design and Presentation Software
I use digital tools to develop, document, and present my architectural projects, including Autodesk Revit for architectural modeling and technical documentation, AutoCAD for 2D architectural drafting, D5 Render and Lumion for architectural visualization and 3D rendering, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Canva for image editing and visual project presentations.
