DENNIS MUTU GITAU

My work brings together architectural design, interior design, and visualization to create spaces that are functional, visually refined, and responsive to their setting. I help clients develop their ideas into a clear design direction, with careful attention to both the overall concept and the details that shape everyday experience.

My design philosophy is rooted in purposeful planning, balanced proportions, and lasting visual appeal. I believe good design should reflect the client’s lifestyle or business needs while responding to the site and local context. Natural light, thoughtful material selection, and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces are central to my approach.

My design ability covers concept development, space planning, faade design, interior design, architectural modelling, and visual presentation. I work across contemporary, classical, and transitional styles, developing a consistent architectural language throughout the building, its interiors, and its immediate surroundings.

My project experience includes design and visualization work for private residences, maisonettes, apartment developments, commercial and mixed-use schemes, office concepts, hospitality interiors, and agricultural support facilities. Examples include Khayega Square in Kakamega, the six-storey Gigiri office concept, Diani–Ukunda apartments, Eldoret flower-farm facilities, and detailed classical residential interiors. These projects demonstrate a range from individual rooms and private homes to multi-storey and multi-building proposals.

My software and digital workflow includes Archicad for architectural modelling, alongside Lumion 2024 and D5 Render for architectural visualization. I also use AI-assisted tools for exploring design options and refining presentations. These tools help communicate building form, materials, lighting, and spatial atmosphere in a way clients can readily understand.

My strongest design qualities are careful proportioning, coherent material palettes, detailed interior composition, and a close relationship between architecture and landscape. I pay particular attention to the accuracy of visual presentations and to preserving the intended geometry, scale, and character of a design.

My approach to clients is collaborative and attentive. I use drawings, models, and visualizations to explain proposals, compare alternatives, and incorporate feedback. This gives clients a clearer understanding of their options and helps them make informed decisions as the design develops.

My professional advantage is the combination of design sensitivity, practical spatial thinking, and strong visual communication. Clients gain a designer who can consider the building as a whole while refining the individual spaces, finishes, and details that give it identity.
