MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

''Designing for People, Place and Purpose.''

I believe architecture should do more than provide shelter; it should create environments that improve the way people live, work, interact and experience their surroundings. My approach begins with understanding the ''people, culture, climate, site and purpose'' of a project before developing its form.

I believe that good architecture emerges from the relationship between ''function and experience''. Spaces should be practical, accessible and efficient, while also creating a sense of identity, comfort and belonging. I therefore seek to create buildings that are clear in their organization but meaningful in the way people experience them.

''Context is central to my design process.'' I believe a building should respond to its environment rather than simply occupy it. Orientation, natural light, ventilation, vegetation, materials, views, movement and local climatic conditions are considered as opportunities to shape the architecture. Where possible, I value locally available materials, skills and construction methods because architecture should contribute to the character and economy of its community.

I also believe architecture has a responsibility to be ''sustainable and resilient''. Sustainability should not be treated as an additional feature but as part of the design itself. Passive environmental strategies, efficient use of resources, durable materials, adaptability and responsible site planning should be integrated from the beginning of the design process.

My architecture seeks a balance between ''simplicity and character''. I am interested in forms that are purposeful rather than unnecessarily complicated, where structure, materials, light and space contribute to the architectural expression. I believe that beauty can emerge from clarity, proportion, honesty of materials and thoughtful detailing.

Ultimately, my goal as an architect is to create architecture that is ''useful, responsive, inclusive and memorable'' architecture that belongs to its place, serves its people and remains relevant over time.

This sequence guides my design thinking: understand the people, respond to the place, work with the climate, establish function, develop the form, and ultimately create a meaningful human experience.
