Marq + Partners Limited Architecture as a catalyst for transforming lives and communities
About: Marq + Partners is a multidisciplinary architecture and design practice delivering buildings that are intentional, functional, and built to last. Founded and led by Macduff Kachua, the firm pairs rigorous design thinking with disciplined project delivery — taking each commission from first concept through to a completed, well-documented build. Our portfolio spans private residences, commercial and institutional buildings, hospitality and short-let developments, industrial and agro-processing facilities, and renovation works.
We believe the best buildings age gracefully rather than chase trends. Our work is grounded in clean lines, honest use of natural and local materials, a generous relationship between building and landscape, and a commitment to sustainability and vernacular sensibility — architecture that belongs to its place.
What we do:
Architectural design — concept design, design development, and working drawings Approval documentation and statutory submissions Interior design and space planning Bills of Quantities, costing, and technical documentation Construction supervision and project management Coordination of structural, mechanical, and electrical works with specialist consultants
Our approach: We run projects on systems, not improvisation — clear documentation, defined stages, and transparent fee and variation structures, so clients always know where a project stands. Every engagement begins with a considered brief: we seek to understand how a household or organisation lives and works before drawing a single room. The result is design with intent, delivered with professionalism.

Service Description
Highlights of your design
Designed to age gracefully — clean lines and timeless proportions instead of passing trends
Honest use of natural and local materials, with architecture rooted in its climate and place
A strong indoor–outdoor relationship; gardens and landscape treated as part of the building, not an afterthought
Sustainability and vernacular sensibility built in from the concept stage
Every design starts with how you live or operate — not a checklist of rooms. The best briefs describe a life, not just a floor area.
Intentional, restrained detailing — nothing decorative that isn't doing a job
