Design Philosophy & Software Skills

My design philosophy is grounded in the belief that architectural software should not replace creativity, technical understanding, or professional judgment, but rather enhance them. I use digital tools to translate ideas into clear, functional, technically coordinated, and visually compelling architectural solutions.

My primary design and documentation platform is ArchiCAD, which I use for architectural modelling, 2D documentation, floor plans, elevations, sections, 3D modelling, presentation drawings, and building information coordination. I value the BIM approach because it enables the development of a project as an integrated whole, rather than treating each drawing as an isolated component. This ensures consistency between design intent, documentation, and construction requirements.

I also have experience using Coohom for interior visualization, 3D walkthroughs, and interior design, which allows me to develop realistic spatial representations and immersive presentations. For visualization and presentation, I have explored tools such as Lumion, Blender, and 3ds Max, using them to strengthen my understanding of architectural visualization, materials, lighting, modelling, and realistic rendering. I continue to develop these skills as part of my ongoing professional growth.

My approach is therefore not software-driven, but design-driven. I select appropriate digital tools based on the specific requirements of each project. For me, a successful workflow begins with a clear understanding of client needs, site conditions, functional requirements, construction principles, and aesthetic objectives. Software then becomes the medium through which these ideas are developed, tested, communicated, and refined.

I am particularly interested in integrating architectural design, technical documentation, 3D visualization, and practical construction knowledge. My experience on building projects and construction sites has strengthened my understanding of the relationship between digital design and physical construction. As a result, I aim to produce work that is not only visually compelling, but also practical, coordinated, clearly documented, and responsive to real-world construction conditions.

My long-term goal is to continue developing as a versatile architectural designer by further strengthening my BIM, visualization, technical documentation, and digital design capabilities. I believe that continuous learning, attention to detail, and adaptability to emerging technologies are essential qualities for delivering high-quality architectural work in a constantly evolving industry.
