About us
Kalex (Solutions) Architects Ltd is a registered Architectural and Project Management practice domiciled in Kitwe, Copperbelt
Province of Zambia. The firm wasestablished to offer architectural design and management solutions that hold social and
environmental stewardship at its heart . The team boasts of a collective of experienced and energetic creatives adept at
modern design tools for 2D and 3D modeling and/or rendering.
The respective Partners (Directors) of the company haveover twenty (20No.) years of combined experience in various
architectural project types ranging from residential, retail, commercial, educational, and industrial construction projects
garnered through practice in the private sector, local government (municipalities) and parastatal s (public universities).
Kondwani Tembo – Partner
Kondwani is a Registered Architect with the Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA) with a Degree in Architecture and currently
pursuing a Masters Degree in Project management at the Copperbelt University. He has over 13 years’ experience of
architectural practice spanning from private practice (PJP Associates Ltd, Zambia) and public practice (Copperbelt University,
Directorate of Projects, Planning and Services). His experience includes design and supervision, common leasehold schemes,
management of projects, management of facilities, and a knack for team building.
Kondwani has participated in various infrastructure planning for the Copperbelt University and its allied public universities
such as Kapasa Makasa, Mukuba, and Mulungushi University respectivelyover the last decade.
Joshua Nkole – Partner (Principal Architect)
Joshua is a Registered Architect with the Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA) with a Degree in Architecture and a Masters
Degree in Project Management. With over 15 years’ experience of architecturalpractice garnered from private practice and
Local Government, Joshua has served for several years as an architect at Mambwe Town Council, as the Director of Works at
Kawambwa Town Council, Chief Architect at Kitwe City Councial nd as senior architect at Archline Building Consultants.
He boasts of extensive experience in managing both public and private projects from inception to completion.
