I am a highly motivated and results-driven professional with a strong background in construction. With 14 years of experience in construction, I have developed a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of architecture, quantity survey, land survey, construction bidding and construction site management just to mention a few.
Throughout my career, I have consistently demonstrated exceptional architectural detailing and a proven ability to prepare materials schedule. I am adept at leadership, critical thinking and have successfully supervised the construction of numerous projects.
My strong analytical skills enable me to analyze/evaluate complex situations and develop innovative solutions.
As a freelance architectural technician, I have been responsible for the design and drawing of three big Assemblies of God churches in Lilongwe, Malawi, namely Holy Ghost Assemblies of God Church, Kauma Assemblies of God Church, and Area 30 Assemblies of God Church. I have successfully supervised the construction of these churches, resulting in positive construction execution outcomes. Additionally, I have been involved in numerous house projects in different capacities and have been recognized for my ability to always consider the environment in my construction practices. In my previous role at Afribuild Construction, I was responsible for bidding, pricing and preparation of Bill of Quantities pricing just to mention a few. I was instrumental in the accurate bidding of documents, which significantly helped the company to secure jobs. My ability not to overcharge or undercharge allowed me to make sure the company doesn.t take on a project it cannot execute without making loses.
I am currently studying a BA in Environmental Science with AIU, Pending, and hold the following certifications, Cert. Introduction to Psychology, Cert. Principles of construction management, Cert. Human Management Concept, and Cert. Management - Strategic Marketing. This educational background, combined with my practical experience, has equipped me with a solid foundation in Construction and environmental science. I am constantly seeking opportunities to further enhance my skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends. I am a highly organized and detail-oriented professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I thrive in fast-paced environments and am able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. I am a team player, collaborating with colleagues.to achieve common goals, while also being able to work independently and take initiative when necessary. I am passionate about Green Construction also known, as Eco-friendly Construction, and I am committed to continuous learning and professional development.
