I am an architect from Quito Ecuador. I studied at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador), and Lund University (Sweden). Since my graduation I have worked not only as an independent architect, but also as an English teacher in some projects, which had allowed me to communicate as good in English, as I do in Spanish (my native tongue.)
I have had the opportunity to live abroad for a couple of years, in countries like Sweden, Germany, and Russia, where I have studied local architecture and history, as well as art, which is a passion of mine too. Living in these places have changed the way I perceive cities, and life itself.
I beleive architecture is a functional expression of time. Architects should have a compromise to develop projects that can speak to its users and the cities they are developed in. We should strive for buildings that can not only satisfy functionailty, but also that look for time trascendance.
Parallel to architecture, I continue to develop a career as a painter; I have made three art shows in different scales, and I am currently working on a fourth one.
