“Architecture” contributes to the formation of the specific professional knowledge that squarely addresses most of the central issues of today’s society. My “journey” in Architecture started from 1996 by completing the initial academic studies of my professional education. As the profession primarily responsible for the design of the built environment, architects deal directly with the quality of life of every citizen.
Starting from 2002 parallel to the practical design processes I’d been involved in scientific observations and teaching mission at the Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction.
2002-2007 working in “Yerevanproject” CJSC I’ve a chance to elaborate projects of urban development (masterplans of Yerevan) and more projects of buildings and environmental design.
2009-2010 as visiting professor I’ve attend several U.S. universities exchanging with experience of teaching methods and professional knowledge and as result I’ve got a suggestion for signing the Memorandum of Understanding between YSUAC (Armenia) and OSU (USA).
On 2018 I’ve appointed for the position of Head of the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia. Undertaking this position surely was a valuable experience, which involved absolute commitment towards the realization of fundamental reforms in the field of architecture. In June of 2020, I resigned from that position to start my responsibilities as a senior consultant and supervisor at the Armenian Territorial Development Fund, funded by the Asian Development Bank. I oversee programs involving renovation of schools and kindergartens, drawing up investment programs in different regions of Armenia, controlling the design and construction stages of the investment programs.
During management of the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning I’ve gain experience of the development of principles of state policy in the field of architecture, implementation of programs aimed at improving the business environment in Armenia, encouraging investment initiatives, coordination of the electronic institutional network. I have participated in the work of the Architecture Committee with other CIS countries and international organizations. As well as organization and implementation of architectural competitions for selecting the best architectural solutions.
I’m thinking of professional collaboration and ready to input my professional skills and experience.
I imagine that the “Build Most” is a unique environment which is supporting to the development of the world’s global cooperation processes.
