1.1. Company Profile
The firm was established in 2014 and is a bonafide Namibian registered with the Ministry of Trade
and Industry, with its Headquarters in Windhoek, Namibia. The firm is still in its infancy and as an
emerging practice is slowly growing capacity to manage projects within specific sectors.
As an emerging Consulting practice, MWANAKATWE STUDIO ARCHITECTURE INC. is keen on
partnering with local and international companies in the implementation of various projects around
the SADC region. Furthermore, the company associates with consultants in different fields within the
industry and sometimes implements projects on a projectised basis to successfully implement
projects after which the team disbands until the next opportunity.
The Principal Consultant of Mwanakatwe Studio Architecture Inc. has worked on several bilateral and
multi-lateral projects in Zambia funded by European Union, African Development Bank and the
Zambian Government. He has further worked on private sector projects and several Government
projects in Namibia and has acquired experience in several sectors ranging from health, education,
transport, safety and security and commercial sectors working in countries within the SADC and
COMESA regions.
With the range of services being provided by our firm, we are expecting to grow considerably in the
coming years. Initially the firm is undertaking Architectural/engineering designs for building projects
but is slowly venturing into project, programme and portfolio management within the specific sector.
In addition, the firm also plans to undertake project finance and procurement for various organizations
and institutions. In due course, both the Architectural designing and the Project Management
activities will comprise the greatest activities of the firm.
At the same time, notable experience and expertise in integrated projects for different Clients, in the
building industry especially in Health, Educational and commercial sectors is being gained and built
upon. The firm has adopted a continuous process improvement strategy coupled with continuous
learning and the lessons learned on completed projects are well documented and form an integral
part of our implementation techniques and are used effectively on subsequent projects.
The Principal and associate Consultants are highly skilled in several Computer Aided Design
programmes such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Vector Works, and Caddie, including SPSS for statistical
sampling whenever the need arises. As a young Architectural and project management firm, the
founder has become involved in suburban development, for example Hospitals, Health Centres,
Schools, Police stations, Office buildings, Universities and sports facilities for the private, public
sector and are increasingly involved in community development projects.
We strive to be a supplier of high quality, cost-effective and innovative designing and management
solutions. As such, our achievements are recognized by the projects we have undertaken and
successfully completed while working for various firms in the various referred to countries.
The Principal Consultant has worked on many projects for many Clients in the past and has
undertaken major projects in the urban planning, designing, supervision, contract administration and
management. This includes the fields of:
 Township infrastructure planning and design
 Design, management and administration of large infrastructure programmes and projects;
 Design of building structures in the commercial, education, health and residential sectors;
 Design of industrial developments
 The provision of specialist services and capacity building2

Mwanakatwe Studio Architecture Inc. is constituted under the Namibian laws and operates
according to the requirements of the Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors Act 13
of 1979, and the Namibia Institute of Architects. The firm complies with the ethical code and
professional conduct as laid down by the Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors.
The Principal has no commercial interests, which detract from the impartiality of the services
performed by the firm.
Mwanakatwe Studio Architecture Inc. enables the different interested Regional and International
Companies to participate in significant and larger projects, as Design, Development, project,
programme and portfolio management Consultants, in Namibia and neighboring countries. The
Principals and its Associate Consultants have acquired vast experience working in several
countries around the SADC and COMESA regions.
The company combines the knowledge, resources and skills of its associates on a National,
