URED Architecture studio

Architecture studio URED is founded in 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia
as a private entrepreneurship. Behind the name URED was a
group of young architects practicing architecture at the time
when the global financial crisis was at the highest peak and many
architects struggled to find commissions. Therefore, most of the
previous projects are done in collaboration with other architects
and engineers as a joint venture or as a group of authors.
Since 2019, Nikola Milanovi, founder of the company, is the only
employee as a lead architect in charge of architecture and urban
design, construction supervision, project and documentation
management. During these years the scope of work was based
in real-estate market, commercial buildings, industrial buildings
and refurbishments in Serbia. URED has participated in many
national and international architecture competitions. Through
real-estate market, the close collaboration with many developers
and contractors, the company expertise has been developed to
be project and documentation management in compliance to
Serbian laws and regulations including the use of Central Register
of Integrated Procedures, acquiring building permits, permit of use
and other necessary permissions. Nikola Milanovi is a member of
the Serbian Chamber of Engineers since 2015 and has a license
for responsible architect (license 300), and a license for responsible
construction engineer (license 400). As a company representative,
he is one of the founders and Board members of the Association of
Serbian Architectural Practices (ASAP). From 2020 until 2023, he
was a member of the Planning Commission of Kragujevac.
The work in architecture studio URED has been very complimentary
to Nikola’s academic research, which also started in 2013 with
enrolment in PhD program at the University of Belgrade, Faculty
of Architecture, where he also worked as a Teaching assistant until
2022.
