The all-business class A321LR belonging to Four Seasons has already begun lining up for takeoff in 2023. Having sold out many of the trips through 2022 and into early 2023, the hotel group has unveiled two new itineraries for later on in 2023, offering round the world experiences in absolute luxury.
Four Seasons makes plans for 2023
Four Seasons is back with its super luxurious A321LR and some tantalizing adventures for 2023. The hotel group has enjoyed great success with its package holiday offering, tailored to the mega-rich, and has recorded record-breaking sellouts on many of its previous itineraries. As such, it has released its offerings for later in 2023 already to give more passengers the opportunity to try its A321LR.
The aircraft is designed to give passengers a private jet-like experience, with a light load of just 48 seats and around two meters of personal space per guest. The 2-2 arrangement includes fully lie-flat seats, which double up as comfortable recliners as well. Ottomans at the foot of the passenger’s area form the foot of the bed, or can be used by other guests for chatting a socializing at other times.
At the rear of the aircraft, guests can enjoy a small bar area complete with a drinks fridge and a stand-up cocktail table. Four Seasons claims that this social space can also be used for ‘cooking classes and wellness activities.’ Onboard crew will include an executive chef, a concierge, and a journey physician.
If this sounds like your sort of holiday, you’d better have deep pockets. Prices start at $130,000 per person (based on two traveling together), rising to $190,000 or more. Let’s take a look at what Four Seasons has planned for the 2023 itinerary.
The trips
The newly released trips for 2023 are African Wonders, set to take off in August 2023, and Timeless Encounters, timed for April 2023. Both are multi-day, multi-stop itineraries and include all meals, accommodation, and ground transportation.
African Wonders takes in seven destinations across 13 days of travel. Guests begin in Athens, before heading to Egypt to visit the pyramids. Next, it’s on to the Serengeti, including game drives and a hot air balloon ride, before three relaxing days in Mauritius. Rwanda is next, where a trek will aim to come close to the mountain gorillas, followed by a visit to Victoria Falls in Zambia and finally a single night in Johannesburg.
Timeless Encounters is a longer trip, lasing 24 days in total and taking in nine destinations across the world. Beginning in Oahu, the trip goes on to Bora Bora, where guests can swim with rays and sharks, before heading to Sydney down under. After three nights there, the trip heads on to Bali for rafting and meditation, and then to Thailand for a choice of Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. Heading west, the next stop is the Taj Mahal in Agra, followed by three numbers in the luxury of Dubai. The final two stops take in Florence in Italy and finally London.
You might think that with 48 seats to fill and trip costs that equate to the value of a small house, Four Seasons would be struggling to fill its jet. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Trips that have been announced for 2022, including African Wonders in December, Ancient Explorer in October and World of Adventures in May are all marked as ‘waitlist only’ on the website.
While most of us can only imagine the lavish experiences on offer from the Four Seasons private jet tours, for the super-rich, it’s an appealing prospect. No planning, no worries, and no crowded planes – something that’s become even more important during COVID – it’s easy to see why it’s become popular.
