Project Background
I completed the interior design of a 500-square-meter restaurant in Kinshasa, Congo, with a seating capacity of at least 100 people.
The design included arranging seating for 16 to 18 people in the center of the hall.
Floor Plan
Finally, based on the area provided by the client, I was able to optimize the space and arrange seating for up to 180 people.
Interior Renderings
along with bar-style seating on two sides of the restaurant, incorporating a combination of 2, 4, and 6-person tables.
For the bar design, I used rough-hewn wood for the underside of the counter and white marble for the top surface. I added two rows of linear lighting beneath the marble, aligned with the footrests where people sit behind the counter, which gave the area a distinctive and elegant presence.
For the furniture arrangement, I used sets of 2 to 4-person seating in burnt beige and light blue colors. The tables in front of them were made of white marble, matching the bar's countertop, with golden bases to add a touch of elegance.
For the decoration of the central wall, which was the core of the space, I used planters with dry bamboo stalks, sourced from native African plants, along with some African symbols on the shelves. To complete the look, I covered the wall with patterned wallpaper that coordinated with the blue furniture.
