Project Background
Nestled within an ecologically rich natural site in Maoming, Guangdong, this project sits between an ancient village and a lush bamboo-covered hillside, surrounded by rolling fields and winding streams. It embodies both local cultural heritage and pristine natural textures. With a total built area of approximately 2,500㎡, the spatial composition consists of two functional buildings.
Guided by the core concept of “Blending into the mountains and dwelling in the pastoral landscape,” the design respects the site’s original ecological context and village fabric. Through architectural layout, spatial crafting, and material language, it fosters a symbiotic dialogue between built structures, the natural environment, and local culture, creating an immersive eco-boutique homestay that integrates lodging, cultural and creative experiences, and dining and social gatherings.
