Project Background
The project involved the design of a state-of-the-art regional referral hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania. Commissioned by the Heralds of Good News, a faith-based mission organization with origins in India, the hospital with the capacity to provide core specialized services. The design prioritized patient centric care, emphasizing accessibility, comfort, safety, and privacy. Key features include optimized patient flow, clearly defined zones, integrated family support spaces, and spiritual areas.
Exterior Renderings
This modern hospital rendering features a clean, multi-toned facade. The VIP Wing is highlighted on the left with a dedicated glass entrance and sleek white canopy. Geometric fins and blue accents guide the eye toward the main emergency bay across the paved plaza and green lawns.

Floor Plan
This ground floor plan identifies key zones: the Reception Lobby (purple) is centrally located. To its left sit the Pharmacy (yellow) and the VIP Wing (grey). The OPD (green) and Laboratory (light blue) occupy the far left and upper-left sections. To the right of the lobby, the Emergency department (tan/peach) connects to the ICU (brown) and specialized wards.
The First Floor features a central Vertical Core (purple) for stairs and lifts. The left wing houses Gynecology (green) and Physiotherapy (grey). The right wing contains ENT (pale blue), Nephrology (brown), and the Radiology department (yellow).
The Second Floor centers on a purple waiting and circulation hub. The wings feature general wards (blue) and VIP wards (purple). Maternity wards (yellow) flank the center, while each wing contains an indoor garden connected to a roof-open courtyard.
The Third Floor functions as the facility’s service and administrative hub. A purple circulation corridor connects all zones. The floor includes administrative offices (peach), a restaurant (grey) for staff and visitors, the laundry (tan), and a mechanical department (pale green) for building systems.
