Project Background
Changsha MINI Urban Exhibition Hall is located at Yunxi Chaohui on Pozi Street, a youth-oriented cultural & creative complex. As MINI’s first urban showroom in China, ARCHIHOPE leverages eco-sustainable design strengths to create a differentiated space centered on "One space is one world". With two entrances, eco-materials and winding tracks, it balances vehicle flow and the brand’s spirit of freedom and trendiness, integrating urban culture with nature.
Floor Plan
The 280㎡ hall’s floor plan centers on a "glass box" with two entrances (mall/street) for pedestrian diversion. Left at the mall entrance: reception desk and sales office. Central area is negotiation space, with an owner photo wall at rear. Optimized winding tracks enable flexible vehicle movement. Light strips divide functional zones. Compact layout focuses on product display, balances commercial-emotional links, aligns with brand’s differentiation & sustainability.
Interior Renderings
“We are all different, but pretty good together.”This is the unique attitude of MINI brand all the time, pursuing differentiation and establishing the brand's external image with trend, freedom and breakthrough.
As MINI’s first sustainable urban exhibition hall in China, the building is a transparent glass box in Changsha Yunxi Chaohui. Two entrances connect the mall and Pozi Street, breaking spatial barriers. The facade combines perforated aluminum plates and terrazzo, echoing Wuyi Square’s cyberpunk vibe of "tradition + future". The 280㎡ space embodies the brand’s trendy, free spirit, integrating naturally with the environment.
Project Photos (Design Landed)
The swirling tracks inside are the design core— a tangible carrier of MINI’s "freedom" spirit. Simulated car movements optimized their height and direction to avoid passage conflicts. The tracks interact with the negotiation area and owner photo wall, giving the commercial space trendy and social traits, conveying the brand’s core of "small size, big reach".
The hall uses eco-materials: the vestibule has eco-friendly art paint (soft, reducing alienation), and the rear has green oriented strand boards (wear-resistant, moisture-proof). Light strips divide interfaces; glare-free lights illuminate cars without color difference. This practices BMW’s sustainability concept, creates a friendly atmosphere, and shows the brand’s "small but inclusive" spirit.
Inside the glass box, staggered cut elevations form conceptual mountains, simulating "crossing mountains, finding forests" to blend urban culture and nature. The central negotiation area echoes the rear photo wall, meeting commercial needs and conveying social attributes. Balancing natural rhythm and urban trends, it embodies "one space, one world".
On the left, the reception desk uses mirror stainless steel + eco-cement (trendy, sustainable), with glare-free lights ensuring comfortable service. The rear owner photo wall is an emotional anchor— travel images embody MINI’s "companionship" spirit, resonating with owners and conveying the brand’s "We are all different, but pretty good together" attitude.
Dual-entrance signs use mirror stainless steel + perforated aluminum, with concise fonts fitting the brand’s trendy vibe, echoing the glass box. The adjacent car area keeps "no color difference lighting"; light strips link with sign lights to enhance layers. It diverts mall/street foot traffic without breaking the glass box’s transparency, showing "ordered but not rigid" logic.
The picture focuses on terrazzo floor and perforated aluminum collision: terrazzo conveys simplicity, aluminum shows industrial style, echoing "tradition + future" adaptability. Light strips at joints create dappled light. Eco-materials practice sustainability; light-shadow interaction embodies "free but not rigid" spirit, making details a micro-carrier of brand concept.
The central negotiation area is built with eco-oriented strand boards and terrazzo, continuing sustainability. Soft texture eliminates commercial alienation. Surrounded by tracks and photo wall, it balances dynamic/static and enhances social traits. Abandoning traditional rigidity, it embodies MINI’s "amiable as a friend" spirit with "small space, big inclusiveness".
The panorama shows the glass box— transparent facade brings in urban light, coexisting with conceptual mountains. Tracks run through car/negotiation areas (optimized for movement). Terrazzo and aluminum collide; color-free lights show car texture. The rear photo wall adds emotional warmth, uniting function, aesthetics and brand spirit, showing "small space holds a vast world".
Changsha MINI Urban Exhibition Hall is located at Yunxi Chaohui in Wuyi Square. With "One space is one world" as its core, ARCHIHOPE practices BMW’s sustainability concept. It designs two entrances for pedestrian diversion, layouts reception and negotiation areas, embeds winding tracks with traffic simulation, adopts eco-materials and color-aberration-free lighting, creating a differentiated space integrating culture, nature, commerce and emotional connection.
The tracks weaving their ways through the space and whirling around give the space a powerful dynamic sense, which is the concrete carrier of the brand's core concept. It externalizes MINI's spiritual pursuit of "freedom", but the tracks that seem to shuttle freely are actually carefully designed.
