Project Background
The Natural & Typical Renovation of a 600-seat Restaurant in a living base Design For the project background: we were tasked with renovating a restaurant dating back to the 1990s, located in a living base in the Algerian desert. The project involved redesigning both the exterior and interior and reconfiguring the layout to comply with new food safety and fire safety regulations.
Exterior Renderings
The Renderings 01 For the exterior treatment, we aimed to create a building covered with a ventilated faade (to enhance thermal comfort) in sky blue, to blend the structure with the surrounding sky (the building previously had a heavy appearance before renovation). Additionally, we designed galleries on the sides in the shape of desert dunes (as the living base is located in a desert environment). These galleries provide shade and add dynamism to the horizontal faades.
