Project Background
THE MODERN & COZY APARTMENT INTERIOR DESIGN The project apartment 302 is in the north region of Mrida, Yucatn, Mxico. It is inside a building whose concept is “Mrida the White City,” which aligns with the client's requirements for a functional and sophisticated space for a dynamic family.
Project Concept
Inspired by a modern and elegant style, the design is based on a predominantly blue, white, and gold color palette. Blue brings serenity and depth, white maximizes the light and spaciousness of the space, while touches of gold add an air of sophistication and warmth.
Spatial Composition
To maximize the space, we decided to adapt the living room and breakfast nook to the existing kitchen counter. An open area promotes family interaction. We selected and designed furniture ergonomically tailored to the clients' needs and added golden details that enhance the elegance of the space.
Materials & Processing Technology
Having predominantly white spaces, as a team we decided to use white wainscot paneling throughout the space to contribute texture and shape without losing the illusion of spaciousness. For the furniture, we used Walnut-colored wood to insert warmth. Adding blue and gold colors as accents in the furniture and lighting.
