From the hall to the open balcony, the "middle" of reflection pervades the whole design, but the mesoscopic color has inheritance and difference.

The hedgehog red sandalwood with a slight fragrance and unique texture should be matched with a simple and attitude fabric. The layout of the entire space has both Chinese "stable" and modern "new".

The overall color is not used too much, and the background wall and carpet color transition softly. From the visual effect, the gap is not very big, but the layers are clear.

The kitchen is designed with a bar counter: After a meal, there is a unique flavor to chat or have a drink here. Sometimes the kitchen is not a place for TA, but a gathering place for the spirit of "home". what do you say?

When designing the whole kitchen, I adopted a semi-open style. Here I borrowed the load-bearing column of the building itself and embedded the refrigerator, making it a transition bridge between the bar counter and the kitchen operating area. Everyone should be able to understand the function of the sliding door, so I won't explain it.

This is the independent restaurant space presented by the gauze screen, and the owners can change the size of the space according to their own preferences.

The bathroom design does not necessarily have to follow the design principles. Here I will adopt the layout of the MINI bathroom and adapt measures to local conditions. In order to reduce the too narrow aisle, it is recommended that owners use wall-mounted toilets.

From the simple kitchen to the neat corridor, to the separate wet and dry separation area. It belongs to the end of the corridor and lighting is a problem. And many "dry and wet separation" have this drawback. Therefore, adding mirror cabinets and spotlights, the principle of using direct light will not make the dry area at the end of the corridor appear dim.

When the photo was taken, the walls were undecorated, and the MR O later said that the calligraphy of "Peaceful Zhiyuan" was hung up, but I never had the opportunity to appreciate it.

The elegance of the study room, whether intentionally or unintentionally, brings the natural, romantic and warm feeling into everyone's sense of smell, which may be the taste of home.

Project Background

Mr O has lived in Shanghai for many years, and he told me when he was negotiating the design plan: walking through the door must make me feel like a "home". Therefore, in the later conception, I thought of Wang Guowei's "Three Realms", and the entire style and space construction followed the concept of "quiet, warm, and love", adding the meaning of "home" to the hustle and bustle of life. There are both Chinese "stable" and modern "new" in the layout.
