Buddhist hall design structure

The Buddhist hall uses a tatami raised platform, and after two steps, it is a quiet space for Buddha worship.

Project Background

The owner couple are professional makeup artists in the fashion industry, often travel, their most special place is that they have at least four large suitcases, full of cosmetics, every time they go out to bring... What would a home be like with a child and parents who often came to stay?

Spatial Composition

1, different functions in the same place staggered use, which will greatly improve the use of space, the red part of the picture is such. 2, the blue arrow indicates the two different entrances of the shower room, which is convenient for primary and secondary health. 3. The yellow part is the place closest to the entrance where the suitcase is stored.

Floor Plan

1. Cancel the living room function and replace it with a small independent Buddhist hall. There is a large storage closet opposite the Buddhist hall, which can be stored under the collapse. The tatami high platform is equipped with two elevating tables, sharing part of the study and guest functions. 2. The cloakroom of the master bedroom is expanded to occupy part of the original living room, and a dressing table is added in the cloakroom.

Entrance wall with a large area of wood veneer, natural wood texture and feel, so that people feel warm after entering the house, and clean and capable.

The only ornament in the entrance is an old elm wooden pile with four legs of mortise and tenon structure at the bottom of the pile and a green bamboo pot at the top. Although the ornaments are simple, but the atmosphere is free and easy.

The hall is equipped with two elevating tables. In addition to prostrating the Buddha, it can also have the functions of study, hospitality, writing and drawing, tea and meeting friends.

The high cabinet on the left side of the dining table is deliberately consistent with the material of the cabinet and integrated with the kitchen space, but it is actually the function of storing two makeup suitcases and stock supplies.

The steel frame is arranged inside the dining table, and the external rock plate is pasted with Angle. The steel frame in the table is connected with the internal structure of the island, and is a cantilever support structure, which is made on site.

The wooden hanging on the top of the island is of the same nature as the sliding door of the Buddhist hall, continuing the Oriental temperament, introducing fashion and gentle elegance.

The corridor is a family transportation hub. In order to avoid depression when many people cross the use of the corridor, the arrangement of air conditioning fresh air pipelines is unconventional, and the corridor is bypassed as far as possible to retain the original structural height. At the same time, the local arc Angle design of the ceiling avoids the stiffness and gentle relaxation of the narrow and high space.

The basin separated from the main bathroom has become a lively highlight of the bedroom.

In the distance, inside the narrow glass door of the golden opaque frame is the shower room, which is special because the shower room has two entrances, the other is in the corridor. Families don't have to detour, so it's easier to use.

The corner shape of the sink surface naturally extends to the dresser in the cloakroom, in one go.

The dressing table is equipped with a professional dressing mirror selected by the owner, as well as a soft makeup chair with a back. The hostess once said that "makeup is the most beautiful enjoyment" - the combination of makeup room and cloakroom, the most in line with her heart.
