Project Background
Located in Chongqing, this 177㎡ ground-floor apartment features rare north-south dual private gardens. Tired of flashy modern styles, the client desired a peaceful sanctuary. We drew inspiration from Song Dynasty aesthetics to create this contemporary Eastern residence themed "Eastern Light".
Floor Plan
This 177㎡ ground-floor floor plan features a rare dual front-and-rear garden configuration with clear zoning and smooth circulation. Upon entry, a foyer transitions into an open-concept living, dining and kitchen area with a looping circulation path, and the study can be flexibly converted into a multi-purpose space. All three bedrooms face south, with the master bedroom as an en-suite suite with walk-in closet. Every main space opens directly to the gardens, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor.

As the heart of the home, this open-concept LDK (Living, Dining, Kitchen) space features a looping circulation path inspired by the "changing views with each step" principle of Song Dynasty gardens, creating a seamless flow between living, dining and study areas while maintaining clear functional zoning. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors fully open to the south garden, framing the pine tree, maple and reflecting pool as a living landscape painting—bringing the tranquility of nature indoors.
