Project Background
This project involves the design of a two-story single-family home (ground floor + one upper level) intended to accommodate a family of 5 to 6 people. The building is situated on a deep, narrow rectangular plot with limited street frontage.
Exterior Renderings
This asymmetrical front elevation balances a single-story garage wing on the left with a two-story main volume on the right. The garage and a striking vertical accent column feature light-gray dry-stack natural stone, contrasting with the light vertical siding above. Dark-framed fenestration includes a wide black garage door, paired vertical windows, narrow stacked accents, and a covered porch entrance framed by a sleek concrete canopy and stone pillar.
Designed for indoor-outdoor living, the rear elevation opens toward the garden and patio. It features a covered ground-floor terrace beneath a flat-roofed concrete canopy supported by a stone wall column. The exterior is clad in light vertical siding under dark hipped roofs. Extensive glazing defines this face, including ground-floor sliding doors, a two-story corner glass bay on the left, a large upper window, and a recessed upper-level balcony section.
Viewed from across the pool deck, this side elevation is dominated by the flat-roofed garage volume clad in light-gray natural stone masonry. The second story of the main structure rises cleanly behind it with solid vertical siding. This face prioritizes privacy, featuring a single dark horizontal ribbon window cut into the stone wall of the garage while maintaining completely solid, windowless surfaces on the upper level.
The right elevation presents a minimalist, tall profile focused on geometric simplicity and privacy. Wrapped fully in uniform light-toned vertical paneling, the solid wall is broken only by two centrally aligned, narrow vertical windows stacked between the ground and upper floors. The side footprint is grounded by a low perimeter planting bed and bordered by a stepped stone walkway leading toward the outdoor seating and garden space.
