Project Background
This project explores the duality between protecting privacy and opening completely to the landscape. The building's volume is defined by a reverse shed roof, creating an upward dynamic that culminates towards the living spaces. The central concept was to design a "light receptacle" architecture, one capable of capturing the sun's path while providing areas of natural shade through thoughtful landscape integration.
Exterior Renderings
Situated on a wooded lot, the project preserves existing tree species to anchor the villa in its context.
The ground surfacing, which alternates between exposed aggregate concrete and planted areas, naturally guides visitors from the parking area to the home's entryway.
