The primary building is made up of a succession of mat slabs that protrude from staggered retaining walls, reducing the amount of space on the hilltop. There was no need to retain the hill anymore, and all of the natural stabilizing vegetation was left in place.
To sustain the extreme cantilevers, the framing is built on a steel superstructure with engineer lumber infill
