The new glazing component of center piece that plugged into center court yard continuesexisting premise structures and formal logics. It leads to compare in-between historical and modern legacy. High-contrast and unitary abstract expression redefine court yard. Inside the court yard, glances and structure-framing appearances not only reconnect inner and outer field, but also link new and old, public and private territories.
As result, the ultimate goal is to provide lodges not only for staying overnight but also for experience of China/ Beijing hutong culture, living customs and create dialogue in-between historical and modern era.
